13 OUNCES

13 ounces! that's what the tech said our baby is weighing in at. HOLY COW! this visit to the imaging center was the most amazing yet. we were able to see that our baby a mover and a shaker. the baby is so active in my belly the technician thought it was hilarious. it's pretty amazing too because i can finally feel all this motion. the little flutters i had been feeling have turned into full on wiggles, pokes, kicks, nudges and stretches. it might not feel like much when someone puts their hand on my belly but i can feel every single bump. it's just the most amazing thing. all i can wonder is "what is going on in there?"
we could also see from the ultrasounds that we have a thumb sucker. i guess when you're in tight quarters the best thing to do is suck your thumb. i read today that the baby's tongue is fully formed now so i guess that aids in the the thumb sucking.
the technician was so amazing too. they can see so much more than the average person. she was checking and measuring every organ, counting the chambers of the heart measuring the brain and checking the blood flow of the umbilical cord. i can't believe what they can see. but she said everything looked good. based on all the measurements they think i might be a week ahead of what we thought so we might have a february baby after all. we'll see.
